BANDUNG-PTDI handed over 1 (one) unit plane CN295 to the Indonesian National Police (Polri), at Mako Ditpoludara Korpolairud Baharkam Polri, Pondok Cabe, South Tangerang, Banten.
Through the press release of PT DI PR, Kabaharkam Polri Komjen Pol. Moechgiyarto, accompanied by PTDI President Director Elfien Goentoro, cut the ribbon on the handover procession of the CN295 plane that was also witnessed by PTDI's Commercial Director Irzal Rinaldi, Kakorpolairud Baharkam National Police Inspector General Pol. M. Chairul Noor Alamsyah, the newly appointed Director General of Police Brig. Anang Syarif Hidayat and previous period Director General of Police, Brig. Gen. Pol. Drs. Indra Miza.
The Sale and Purchase Contract for 1 (one) CN295 Plane unit and 1 (one) Bell 412EP Helicopter unit, Number: KJB / 02 / KSA.2011 / IX / 2015 was signed on September 21, 2015, between the Indonesian National Police and PTDI.
"The delivery of the CN295 plane is carried out four months early with the Ahead of Time status from the delivery target written on the contract, namely January 2019. While 1 (one) 412EP BELL Helicopter unit submits according to the contract in September 2019, but PTDI is committed to be able to hand over the helicopter this year, "said Elfien Goentoro, President Director of PTDI Friday.
The sale and purchase contract is a form of appreciation and trust of the Republic of Indonesia Air Police regarding PTDI products. The Republic of Indonesia Air Police previously operated aircraft NC212-200, BO105 helicopters, BELL 412SP, BELL 412EP.
The CN295 plane was the development of the CN235 plane, where it fuselage was extended three meters and used the Pratt & Whitney PW127G turboprop engine equipped with six Hamilton Standard 586-F propeller blades.
PTDI President Director, Elfien Goentoro said the CN295 plane had five configurations are VIP, Passenger, Troops, Paratroops, and Medical Evacuation. This configuration was prepared by PTDI and submitted along with the delivery of the plane.
The capacity for passenger configuration are 50 people, the configuration of the capacity are 70 people, the configuration of fully equipped paratroops are 45 people, while for the medical evacuation configuration it can carry 24 stretchers.
The CN295 Polud plane is produced by an industrial collaboration between PTDI and Airbus Defense & Space (ADS) which was carried out in the PTDI production area in Bandung.
With the submission of the CN295 plane, hopefully it can improve the performance of the Republic of Indonesia Air Police in every air police operation. This CN295 plane is the 10th aircraft produced by PTDI, where 9 CN295 plane were previously delivered and operated by the Air Force.
