JAKARTA-A total of 9,422 joint police personnel, TNI and other stakeholders are ready to secure the closing ceremony of the 18th Asian Games which will take place at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (GBK) Senayan Jakarta on Sunday (02/09).
"We have prepared 9,422 joint personnel to close the Asian Games Ceremony," Police Chief of Police General Tito Karnavian said here on Thursday (08/30).
According to Tito, in addition to the Indonesian National Police and TNI, to secure the closing ceremony of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government also deployed firefighters, ambulances and the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP).
"We hope that the implementation of the Asian Games closing ceremony will take place in an orderly manner and without interference or other incidents," he said.
Tito stated, the 18th Asian Games which took place in Jakarta, Palembang and a number of venues in West Java, including the opening at UGBK Senayan Jakarta on August 18, 2018, then proceeded safely and orderly in general.
"Security is relatively good until now there are no significant events, especially guests, athletes and officials," he said.
For the closing ceremony of the Asian Games, the Asian Gamea Closing Ceremony was held in the Metro Jaya Regional Police, last Thursday between the National Police Chief, TNI Commander Marshal TNI Hadi Tjahjanto and INASGOC Chair Erick Tohir.
The closed meeting was also attended by Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief Inspector General Idham Azis and Jaya Military Commander Maj. Gen. Joni Supriyanto, Head of Public Relations Police Headquarters Insp. (Parno)
