JAKARTA - Once it was amazing to beat the Hong Kong men's team, the men's water polo national team finally stopped in the quarter-finals by Kazakhstan.

Before being defeated by Kazakhstan, Indonesia qualified for the quarter-finals after beating Hong Kong with a score of 11-8 at the Aquatik Stadium, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday.

Playing in the same location, Thursday (8/30), the men's team which was driven by Ridjkie Mulia seemed able to provide resistance in the first quarter, which was able to make three goals, while Kazakhstan was able to score four goals.

But in the second, third and fourth quarter, the Kazakhstan game cannot be balanced properly. Even the second quarter, Kazakhstan bought five goals, while Indonesia did not score. Indonesia's third quarter only made one goal while its opponent was able to make six goals.

In the final round there was no single goal scored by the Indonesian men's team, while Kazakhstan made five goals, so the final position was 20-4. Indonesia did not have a representative to win a medal in water polo sports.

The advanced teams in the semifinal rounds other than Kazakhstan are China and Iran, where the two countries will meet in the semifinals to compete for one final ticket. Kazakhstan itself is still waiting for opponents, namely the winner between Singapore and Japan. jo
