    Thai Supporters Promote 2018 Asian Games

    JAKARTA- The hustle and bustle of the audience in supporting their athletes is not only done by Indonesian supporters as the host, but in the competition for the Women's Team Badminton Semi Final which took place at Istora Senayan between Thailand and China starting at 12.00 WIB today, Thursday (08/30) , also quite lively.

    It was seen from the storing center seat of Senayan where the supporters of the Thai team with a unique variety of costumes were charged to attract the attention of the spectators who watched the match.

    Pim Nart, who is a Thai supporter, said that to become a Thai cheerleader, he must first take part in an competition audition held by oil and gas companies from this white elephant country.

    "To be a cheerleader and supporter at the 2018 Asian Games, we have to audition by uploading cheerleader themed videos that will be chosen to become representatives," he said.

    According to Pim, he will be assigned to be a cheerleader for 3 days in several venues such as Basketball, Badminton and Handball using unique clothes such as being Miss Thailand with 3 men and singing throughout the game in Thai.

    "We are delighted to be a supporter of the Thai team with a concept that is funny, interesting and interspersed with several entertainment dances. We are also pleased that the 2018 Asian Games are welcomed and the local people here are so friendly and smiling," he said.

    Pim said, he was happy with Indonesian supporters who were very friendly and kind, where during the match against the hosts Indonesia,after the game we shook hands and embraced.

    "I hope that athletes from this country can win many gold medals and Indonesia as the 2018 Asian Games can run this event well and smoothly," he concluded. (Parno)
