BANDUNG - A total of 549 households in Bogor and Sukabumi, West Java, who were affected by the construction of the Bogor-Sukabumi double track railway will receive compensation from the government.
"The governor's decision regarding the compensation money for residents affected by the construction of the double track Sukabumi-Bogor Railway has been signed so that it remains to be channeled," said West Java Regional Secretary Iwa Karniwa, at Gedung Sate Bandung, Monday (08/27/2018).
According to him, the number of affected people given the compensation was decided based on the results of the performance of the social impact handling team on the Sukabumi-Bogor Double Track Railway development plan.
549 families were in Cigombong Village, Cigombong District, Bogor Regency, as many as 11 households, then in Wates Jaya Village, Cigombong District, Bogor Regency, there were 127 households. Then in the Benda Village, Cicurug District, Sukabumi Regency, there were 181 families, Tenjo Ayu Village, Cicurug Subdistrict, Sukabumi Regency, as many as 107 families and Cicurug Village, Cicurug District, Sukabumi Regency, as many as 123 families.
Iwa, who is also chairman of the integrated team of infrastructure development, said that the development of the Sukabumi-Bogor Double Track Railway development, specifically for phase one phase one, has reached 4.5 km from a total of 7.5 km.
He said that the construction of the Sukabumi Bogor railway line in the first phase of Cicurug-Cigombong area along 7.5 km is targeted to be completed in 2018.
He also said the importance of the construction of the double track railway as a national strategic program.
The project, he said, not only realized the direction of the President of Indonesia, but also provided transportation facilities for people and goods in the Cicurug area to Cigombong.
"The ease and acceleration of transportation of goods and people can have a significant impact on improving the economy of the Cicurug and Cigombong communities," he said. (Pun)
