BANDUNG - Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia (Menpar) Arief Yahya said Orchid Forest Cikole, Lembang, Bandung, West Java (West Java) which developed itself as a digital destination and nomadic tourism.
According to him, this 12-hectare pine forest area was developed as an edu-tourism attraction with Orchid House as the Orchid Forest Cikole brand.
He appreciated Orchid Forest Cikole's efforts in developing digital destinations and nomadic tourism which is a strategic program of the Ministry of Tourism (Kemenpar) in achieving the target visit of 17 million foreign tourists and the movement of 270 million domestic tourists this year.
Menpar Arief Yahya said the presence of business people (industry) to develop tourism is important because it cannot only be done by the government.
"Through good cooperation, a harmonization will be created while accelerating tourism development in Indonesia. Moreover, now tourism has been established as the core economy of the nation, "said Minister of Religion to reporters in West Bandung Regency, Friday (08/24/2018)
Menpar Arief Yahya explained that digital destinations are creative tourism products and are packaged in the present. The desire of millennials and individuals who like to 'share' on social media is a good potential for increasing tourism in the digital world.
