BANDUNG – There were 20 farmers and the officials of agriculture authority of Palestine joined the training of hydroponic technique in the Centre for Agricultural Training in Lembang, West Bandung Regency, West Java.
The Head of Agricultural Training Centre of the Agriculture Ministry, Surachman Suwardi, said that the delegation of Palestine will be in Lembang for about twenty days to learn about the technique about the hydroponic agricultural and its package.
“The hydroponic technique is suitable for the Palestine since the land in for agriculture is limited,” said him in Tuesday.
Surachman continued that the training is the follow up of the agricultural training program of South to South program that has been held since 1980. Meanwhile, the participants from Palestine in this year’s program are the second wave. The first wave joined the training in 2013.
The participants were handled by the instructor from the Centre for Agricultural Training in the activity that includes the theoretical and practice by visiting the location of hydroponic research in Lembang, West Bandung Regency.
“Besides receiving the techniques and theory, they also visit the research location which makes the training become more interactive,” said Surachman.
