    Airlangga Hartarto Becomes the Starter of the Asian Games Torch in the City of Bandung

    BANDUNG - Indonesian Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartarto leads the 2018 Asian Games parade in Bandung, West Java. The final route in Gedung Sate, the torch will be pinned on the legends of Bandung athletes including Djadjang Nurjaman and Ricki Subagja.

    On the agenda, Airlangga was accompanied by the 2018 Asian Games Daily Implementer Chair (INASGOC) Erick Thohir, Bandung Deputy Mayor Oded M. Danial and Kapolrestabes Bandung Kombes Pol Hendro Pandowo. The torch was ceremonially lit at 08:51 WIB by Erick Tohir.

    Oded explained that his party welcomed the arrival of the Asian Games torch flame. In fact, the implementation of the torch relay for two days in the city of Bandung, Oded ensured that Bandung City was ready to succeed in the implementation of the 2018 Asian Games in the city of Bandung.

    "It's an honor for the city of Bandung after 56 years ago, the city of Bandung can be attended carelessly," Oded said at Pasteur, Bandung, West Java, Saturday, August 11, 2018.

    The city of Bandung, Oded added also contributed to the success of the 2018 Asian Games, one of them with the presence of several athletes from Bandung also participating in the event.

    "I advised, let's carry out the Asian Games to be an achievement that God willing, more champions, today is legend, about kilometers to Gedung Sate, hopefully there is no obstacle," he explained.

    In Bandung, the Torch Relay itself passed several routes including the Pasteur Toll Gate, Jalan Dr. Djunjunan, Pasupati Fly Over, descends to Taman Sari Street, Balubur, Jalan Cikapayang, Jalan Ir. H. Juanda, Jalan Merdeka, Jalan Lembong, Jalan Tamblong, Jalan Asia Afrika, Jalan Alun-alun Timur, Jalan Dalam Kaum and ended at Gedung Sate. (Pun)
