BANDUNG - The West Java General Election Commission (KPU) gives appreciation to all political parties in West Java who have supported the KPU's move by not nominating legislative members for the West Java DPRD who are former prisoners of corruption, drugs and sexual crimes.
West Java Election Commissioner, Technical Division Endun Abdul Haq said there were no legislative candidates who were former prisoners thanks to good communication and cooperation between political party leaders and the West Java Regional Election Commission.
"Based on the results of research conducted by the KPUD West Java team, we did not find any prospective candidates who was indicated to have problems," he said.
Endun stated that the results of verification of repairs could not be changed, unless there were several things that had been determined according to the rules such as the death certificate, the community's response was proven to be true and some had resigned.
"The repairs cannot just be carried out and still cannot be changed unless repaired by the KPU in the DPT," said Endun at the Event of Submission of Minutes of Verification Results for the Improvement of the Completeness and Validity of candidates Documents at the KPU West Java Office, jl. Garut No. 11 Bandung, Friday (08/10).
Please note that in accordance with PKPU Number 5 Year 2018 concerning Amendments to PKPU Number 7 of 2017 concerning Stages, Programs and Schedules for Organizing Elections, the next stage is the preparation and determination of DCS on August 8-12, announcement of DCS and percentage of representation of women 12-14 August.
For input and community response to DCS August 12-21, request for clarification from political parties for input and public response to DCS August 22-28, submission of clarification from Political Parties to KPU August 29-31, notification of DCS 1-3 September replacement and so on until the announcement of the Permanent Candidate List (DCT) 21 to September 23, 2018.
