BANDUNG - The Indonesian Rock Climbing Federation (FPTI) aims to win five medals, two of which are gold medals at the 2018 Asian Games.
PP FPTI Secretary Sapto said the potential of two gold can be achieved from the male and female team groups for the speed or fast race category. "The target can be five medals but two gold medals are optimistic for our rock climbing team," he said in Bandung.
Two optimistic gold can be donated by the national athletes of the women's team Aris Susanti, who is now ranked third in the women's group. Finally, he won a gold medal in the championship in Chongqing, China. His speed in climbing even had viral news on social media.
While in the men's team there is the name Sabri which is ranked fourth in the world and Aspar, which is ranked sixth in the world. "The toughest rival is from Iran, ranked number one in the world. Then there are from China and South Korea," he said.
Meanwhile Eiger's General Manager Marketing Harimula Muharam said Eiger was ready to support the equipment and accoodation needs of rock climbing athletes while competing in Jakabaring Sport City, Palembang. (Jo)
