BANDUNG - West Java Provincial Government will provide compensation of Rp. 3.1 billion for earthquake victims in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). Daily Implementer Governor of West Java Mochamad Iriawan immediately went to Lombok on Wednesday night (8/8) to hand over the assistance.
Iriawan said that he had coordinated his arrival to the NTB Governor, Tuan Guru Bajang (TGB) Zainul Majdi.
"Already in contact with the Governor there, we will provide assistance from the province and the people of West Java. Approximately 3.1 billion," said Iriawan in Gedung Sate, Jalan Diponegoro, Bandung City, Wednesday afternoon (8/9).
Providing this compensation as a form of concern of the provincial government and the people of West Java to the victims of the disaster. According to Iriawan, people who experienced misfortune due to the earthquake needed more money in the form of goods than goods.
"I asked if there was a need for goods, but from the NTB provincial government he said the money was because the goods were available there," he said.
Furthermore, there is a plan for him to visit earthquake points directly on Thursday (9/8). That is to review the current conditions of the victims after the natural disaster.
"On Thursday I will see earthquake victims, in North Lombok, East Lombok and Mataram," he concluded. (Pun)
