    Lombok Earthquake Causes 436 Deaths, Losses Reach 5 trillion


    BANDUNG-National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) noted that 436 people died, 1,353 people were injured, 783 people were seriously injured and 570 people were slightly injured due to the 7-magnitude earthquake that shook the West Nusa Tenggara and Bali regions on Sunday (05/08)

    The distribution of dead victims in North Lombok Regency 374 people, West Lombok 37 people, Mataram City 9 people, East Lombok 12 people, Central Lombok 2 people and Denpasar City 2 people. While the most injured victims were in North Lombok as many as 640 people.

    By region, the most damage and losses due to the earthquake in NTB were in North Lombok Regency which reached more than 2.7 trillion rupiah. Whereas in West Lombok District reached more than 1.5 trillion rupiahs, East Lombok 417.3 billion rupiahs, Central Lombok 174.4 billion rupiahs and Mataram City 242.1 billion rupiahs.
