BANDUNG-The West Java Central Statistics Agency (BPS) informed the Farmers Exchange Value (NTP) in West Java in February 2016 (2012 = 100) at 107.42, or decreased of 0.10 percent compared to NTP in January 2016 at 107.54. This was caused by the Farmers Accepted Price Index (IT) was decreased of 0.03 percent, while the Farmers Paid Price Index (IB) increased by 0.07 percent.
Head of BPS West Java Bachdi Ruswana said in February 2016 the three of the five agriculture sub-sectors decreased in NTP which are NTP of Livestock sub-sector by 0.56 percent from 111.62 into 110.99, NTP of smallholder crops sub-sector by 0.54 percent from 97.91 into 97.38 and NTP of Horticultural sub-sector by 0,16 percent from 106.91 into 106.74.
"While the NTP of food crops sub-sector increase 0.21 percent from 110.07 into 110.30 and NTP of fisheries sub-sector increase 0.20 percent from 98.79 into 98.98," he said on Tuesday (1/3) at his office in Bandung.
In rural area in West Java, there were a deflation of 0.05 percent in February 2016. The three of the seven expenditure groups had deflation, where the highest was in the Housing group 0.64 percent then followed by Food Ingredients Group 0.32 percent and the Group of Transport and Communication 0.12 percent.
While the four other groups who had inflation, namely the Group of Food, Beverages, Cigarettes & Tobacco 0.47 percent, health group 0.44 percent, and Garment Group 0.36 percent, the Group of Education, Recreation and Sports 0.19 percent.
