    West Java Police Seized 100 kg of Dry Marijuana

    BANDUNG-Polda West Java confiscated narcotics of marijuana type from Aceh. From the disclosure, the Directorate of Drug Investigation Polda West Java confiscated 100 kilograms of dry marijuana.

    West Java Police Chief Insp. Gen Agung Budi Maryoto said his side secured three suspects, IS (38), K (21), and M (44). The three suspects were arrested in front of Cianjur Post Office, Jalan Siti Jenab, Pamoyanan Urban Village, Cianjur Sub-district, Cianjur District, on July 17, 2018, after taking the marijuana.

    "So, the mode of operation of this item is sent by mail,in the document mentioned the contents are coffee. However, after further examination,it's not coffee but a drug type of marijuana." said Agung at West Java police headquarters on Wednesday afternoon (18/07/2018).

    The West Java Police Chief explained, this disclosure started after officers Direskoba Polda Jabar along with National Narcotics Agency to investigate and identify the perpetrators of the marijuana submissions. Furthermore, the three suspects were arrested in a black Avanza car when going out of the post office.

    "When members search, we got six boxes containing white sacks which contained 100 dried marijuana weighing 1 brick with 1 kilogram," he explained.

    The former South Sumatra police chief said this incident included a new mode. He admitted his side will continue to deepen the case. Even West Java Police is still chasing one other suspect who is also the owner of such illicit goods, namely E.

    "This includes a new mode, but we will explore whether (the perpetrator) has often used this mode," said Agung.

    Agung added to the action, the three suspects snared Article 111 Paragraph (2), Article 114 Paragraph (2), and Article 132 Paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 Year 2009 on Narcotics. "They are threatened with life imprisonment," he concluded (Pun)
