    Kuningan Dam Project Reaches 84 Percent


    KUNINGAN - Governor Daily Implementer (Pj) West Java Governor H. Mochamad Iriawan hopes that the Kuningan Dam project, in Randusari Village, Cibeureum District, Kuningan Regency, can be completed by the end of 2018.

    Based on the results of his review on Wednesday (11/07/18), Pj Governor said the current development has reached 84 percent.

    "This reservoir is located in the Kuningan area, just adjacent to Brebes regency, Central Java," explained Iriawan.

    Iriawan mentioned the importance of the Kuningan Dam related to irrigation. There are two Irrigation Areas (DI) that will diary this dam, including D.I. Cileweung, Kuningan District 1,000 hectares, and D.I. Jangkelok, Kabupaten Brebes, 2,000 hectares.

    The Kuningan Dam worked by the Ministry of PUPR in collaboration with the Cimanuk-Cisanggarung River Basin, has a 68 percent flood reduction benefit, raw water supply of 300 l / s, and 500 KW of electricity.

    "Hopefully the end of the year (Bend Kuningan) can be realized, indeed the target still in May 2019 but seeing the progress very quickly hopefully can be realized as soon as possible," he hoped.

    Specifically speaking, the Kuningan Dam has a total volume of 25.9 million cubic meters of containment. Where it will stem the Cikaro River, the Cijalengkok River.

    This type of urugan dam also has a peak length of 229 meters and a tunnel of 218.42 meters. Related costs, according to the initial contract, the value of Rp. 491.4 billion.

    "The exemption has been done since 2012-2013 because this entry in national strategic project of land acquisition and construction implementation can be done by stimultan," he added.
