BANDUNG - The contingent of the army shooters again became the overall champion of the Australian Army Skill at Arms Meeting (AASAM) international competition held on 23 April to 10 May 2018 in Puckapunyal Military Range, Australia.
Army Chief of Staff of Army General Mulyono said the achievements in AASAM can be achieved thanks to a combination of superior Indonesian A development system, highly trained human-trained human factor and reliable weapons and ammunition product factors as well as hard work and synergy of all elements.
"Indonesia succeeded in becoming AASAM champion for 11 times in a row since 2008. This achievement proves that the quality of domestically made weapons are able to compete and even surpass products made in other countries," he said.
Indonesia totaled the overall champion of the AASAM shoot competition in 2018 after winning 36 gold, 18 silver and 13 bronze medals in various contesting material contested.
AASAM is a prestigious inter-army prestigious competition that is participated in by 18 countries in the Asia-Pacific region and some countries from the Americas and Europe. (Parno)
