Minister of Trade Monitored Food Prices in Bandung

BANDUNG-Minister of Trade (Minister of Trade), Enggartiasto Lukita monitored the price and availability of a number of basic commodities in three traditional markets in Bandung, namely Pasar Baru, Astana Anyar Market and Kiaracondong Market.

In monitoring these three traditional markets, Enggar engages in direct dialogue with a number of traders, including beef and chicken meat traders, eggs, rice and oil traders.

Enggar said, based on the review result, the price of a number of commodities ahead of Eid Al Fitr 2018, generally decreased compared to the previous months although not too big.

"Prices tend to be stable but some are experiencing decline, including rice, chicken, beef and eggs," Enggar said after conducting a review at Kiaracondong Market on Friday (01/06).

The Minister of Trade affirmed that this condition occurred because of good performance from various related parties, such as PD Pasar, Bandung Trade Department, including Food Satgas Team which do their work continuously to do direct monitoring and anticipate if there is any possibility of increase.

"In order for this condition to stay awake, I ask all his staff to monitor the price of basic commodities, so expect no price fluctuation ahead of Eid Al Fitr," he said. (Parno)
