    Facing Lebaran, West Java BI Prepares Rp. 11 T


    BANDUNG - Representative Office of Bank Indonesia West Java along with several banks in West Java starting today, Monday (21/05) opened a money exchange service for the needs of Idul Fitri 1439 H.

    Head of Advisory and Economic Development Group, West Java Bank Indonesia Representative Office, Ismet Inono said, to meet the needs of the community will be new to Idul Fitri it has prepared Rp. 11.92 trillion in currency of various types of denominations.

    "Compared to last year, the projected amount of money prepared to face Lebaran 2018 increased by Rp 400 billion or 3.4%," said Ismet in the Inauguration of Integrated Money Exchange Service Car at Monument to Struggle West Java on Monday (21/05).

    Ismet stated the purpose of an integrated money exchange service held in addition to equity in the distribution of money also broke the concentration of people to exchange money in one place.

    "We want to bring the community closer to banking, so people do not have to go far to exchange money but wait when the onsite service comes," he said.

    According to Ismet, for people who want to exchange money, they can directly come to the mobile cash car by showing the identity card (KTP) or to the banks that have cooperated with BI and the exchange amount is limited to Rp. 3.7 million.

    "There are 12 banks that use integrated money exchange services, namely BRI, Mandiri, BTN, BJB, CIMB Niaga, DKI, MayBank, BRI Syariah, BJB Syariah, BNI Syariah and Bank Syariah Mandiri," he said. (Parno)
