BANDUNG-Starting today, Monday (22/02) PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) introduced a check-in system and boarding pass for prospective passengers.
Corporate Communication Manager of PT. Kereta Api Operational Area 2 Bandung, Zunerfin said the system of check-in and boarding pass for prospective passengers have been temporarily applied only in Bandung station.
"Daops 2 Bandung was chosen for the system and Bandung station become the pilot project. It's aimed to improve services to users of railway services," he said.
According to Zunerfin, the mechanism of the check-in system and boarding pass asked each passenger who has a ticket in the external counter, no longer need to print the ticket at formal counters.
"Prospective passengers should check-in up to 3 hours before departure by entering the booking code payment, either through external or authorized ticket that has been printed, then will obtain a boarding pass," he added.
Zunerfin also said that the implementation of check-in system and boarding pass was in addition to eliminate the practice of ticket touting also anticipate their alleged sale of counterfeit tickets.
"In addition to accommodate the wishes of passengers, this system is also to anticipate the alleged sale of counterfeit tickets," said Zunerfin, on the sidelines of launching Check-in Systems and Boarding Pass at Bandung Station, Monday (22/02).
