BANDUNG - Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti) launched a program that can be a forum for collaboration between universities in the activities of learning (online), research, and joint use of resources and content under the name Reasearch Education Network (ldREN).
This program was launched by Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education Mohamad Nasir coinciding at the peak of National Education Day, Wednesday (2/5) at Excecutive Lounge Unpad Rector Building, Dipati Ukur Street No. 35 Bandung, which was also attended by Unpad Rector, Rector of ITB, Unpad, UPI, ISBII Unsil and Unsika, leader of Kopertis IV Environment of West Java and leader in Environment Unpad.
Mohamad Nasir said the high need for information exchange, especially joint research on academics in college requires the right single container.
"IdREN is a network that can be used for the development of higher education activities, especially research and international research collaboration through private lines that are connected to global REN (Research Education Network)," he said.
The utilization of this network, not only for universities, given the objectives of REN, ldREN is open to educational and research activities, by institutions related to educational and research resources. Currently, network connection access and service integration are enabled to national institutions, such as National Library of Indonesia, Indonesian Institute for Knowledge Science.
Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education encourages universities to apply more innovatively about the online learning system or SPADA, in order to improve access, relevance, quality and competitiveness of high education that is adaptive to the development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in this disruption era.
The SPADA-ldREN program is a form of digital education application using, the online learning system (SPADA) facilitated by national technology-based education and research network (ldREN), linking national and international universities and research institutes.
"The implementation must ensure the quality of higher education which includes the quality of the content, the quality of the learning process, the quality of technology system quality evaluation and the quality of the lecturer / instructor and the quality of the graduates (outcomes)," he added. Jo
