BANDUNG - West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan (Aher) is concerned about the arrest of regional heads in West Java by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) due to corruption cases.
Aher said it fully handed the issue to law enforcement and hoped the incident of this corruption case would be the last in West Java.
"We leave it completely to law enforcement, I am concerned and hope this is the last incident in West Java," Aher told reporters in Bandung on Friday (13/04)
Aher admitted earlier he had aspired that at the end of his tenure as governor did not happen corruption cases in West Java area but it is difficult to be realized after several heads of regions examined KPK and became a suspect.
"I aspire and hope there will be no corruption cases until the end of my tenure," he said.
Avoid Corruption Practices
Responding to the linkage to the election process of heads of regions in 16 cities and districts in West Java including the election of Governor and Vice Governor of West Java who have entered the campaign period, Ahmad Heryawan asked all candidates of regional head including officials who currently still serve as regional heads do not perform actions that violate the rules fall under the category of corruption in the process of pilkada.
"I appeal to the community, especially the head of the region to leave and not to do anything that belongs to the category of corruption such as not doing the mark-up of grants, receiving gratuities and bribery practices, all financial acts that deviate and fall into the category of corruption must be abandoned," said Aher .
Aher also advised specifically to the candidates of leaders in West Java to always work hard, because if the initial candidacy does not corrupt then has become a leader would not commit acts of corruption.
"If the initial candidacy is not corruption, God willing when a leader in West Java will not do corruption," said the Governor told reporters in Bandung. (Parno)
