BANDUNG - West Java Secretary Iwa Karniwa opened Kick Off Meeting of Accelerated Settlement Sanitation Development (PPSP) West Java 2018 at Gedung Sate, Monday (9/4). The initial meeting on sanitation arrangement and development which was attended by representatives from the city districts discussed the environmental sanitation program in West Java 2018 to improve public health figures.
"The main goal is to increase the number of public health of West Java which must be improved through promotive and preventive efforts," he said.
According to Iwa, several efforts and programs will be conducted in sanitation improvement in West Java, among others, the problem of regional waste processing.
"As we have built is a regional waste processing facility in Legok Nangka and Nambo, we will try to build waste processing for Karawang, Purwakarta, Bekasi and Ciayumajakuning (Cianjur, Indramayu, Majalengka and Kuningan-ed) areas," Iwa said.
In addition to the infrastructure built to make sanitation healthier, Iwa also appealed for public participation in maintaining cleanliness of the environment.
"We have to reactivate the community'smutual cooperation culture, at least to clean the water channel in their respective areas, at least once a week or once a month," he explained. (Even)
