    West Java's Competitiveness Soars Up


    BANDUNG - West Java Province Competitiveness is now occupying the number two on national position. This position jumped from the top five in 2013 ago. This amount has exceeded the Governor's pledge target of 10,000 units.

While the value of foreign investment (FDI) investment increased from Rp 93.5 trillion to RP 162.7 trillion. Domestic Investment (PMDN) increased from Rp 26.2 trillion to Rp 94.05 trillion in 2017. "West Java ranks highest in Foreign Direct Investment (PMA). The investment value of PMA-PMDN in West Java based on over the period of four years has increased 74%, with an average increase in investment value of 14.9% every year, "explained the governor. Not only that, during the period 2013-2017, provincial Jabar has succeeded in creating 129,191 new entrepreneurs. This amount exceeds the promise of the governor to create 100,000 new entrepreneurs in West Java. Public purchasing power also increased from Rp 6.41 million to Rp 10 million more in 2017 along with the creation of 2,002,017 jobs. This goes beyond the governor's pledge to create 2,000,000 jobs. With the creation of more than 2 million jobs, the open unemployment rate dropped from 9.22 percent in 2013 to 8.22 percent in 2017. While the poverty rate fell from 9.61 percent in 2013 to 7.83 percent in 2017.
