MAJALENGKA, - West Java International Airport Project (BIJB) in Kertajati District, Majalengka Regency, reaping praise from Kulonprogo Regency Government, Yogyakarta Special Province (DIY). Kertajati Airport is considered to be a pilot, both in terms of implementing development, financing to how to overcome the social impact that occurred.
This was conveyed by the Head of Communication and Informatics Rudiyatno on the sidelines of a study visit to Majalengka Regency Government on the construction of Kertajati Airport on Thursday, March 1, 2018. The group was received by Majalengka Assistant Government Aeron Randi and the Director and Finance Director of PT BIJB Muhamad Singgih.
"BIJB is remarkable. This is a new PT but can carry out the construction of the airport in a structured smoothly and cost efficiency.This is our inspiration for Kulonprogo government to be able to take some benefits obtained from PT BIJB," said Rudiyatno.
Kulonprogo itself is currently building a new airport, New Yogyakarta International Airport (NYIP) conducted PT Angkasa Pura (AP) I. Social unrest experienced Kulonprogo government when middle in land acquisition. Similar problems were also experienced by Kertajati Airport with people around the project two years ago during the land acquisition process.

From the pattern of financing he was also quite surprised because the investment value of international airport development only swallow Rp 2.6 trillion. While the Airport New Yogyakarta International Airport (NYIP) alone for the compensation needs cost around Rp4, 13 trillion. "This is amazing because we have only spent Rp 2.6 trillion, although the physical construction of the airport is almost finished," he said.
Muhamad Singgih admitted, the problems experienced when starting the construction of Kertajati Airport itself is not much different from the Airport in Kulonprogo. The process of physical development of Kertajati Airport which started in December 2015 is now touching 89 percent per February 25th. Of the three work packages for the land side where PT BIJB became the executor of the development, only the terminal area remains unfinished 100 percent.
