BANDUNG - Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of West Java (West Java) said the value of West Java exports in January 2018 reached USD 2.58 billion, an increase of about 12.57 percent compared to December 2017 reached USD 2.29 billion.
On the other hand, the import value of West Java in January 2018 reached USD 1.04 billion, up 14.30 percent compared to December 2017 which amounted to USD 0.91 billion.
Head of West Java BPS Dody Herlando said non-oil exports still dominate exports from West Java, where in January non-oil exports reached USD 2.56 billion, up 12.59 percent compared to December.
"Meanwhile, oil and gas exports stood at USD 14.47 million, up by 9.44 percent," he said, Thursday (1/3).
West Java export market share is still fixed to three major countries namely the United States, Japan and Thailand. Exports to the United States reached USD422, 72 million, then to Japan for USD261, 18 million and Thailand amounted to USD205, 06.
Meanwhile, from the volume side, West Java exports in January reached 0.63 million tons or increased by 10.11 percent. jo
