BANDUNG - M. Rahman Rustan, President Director of Bio Farma was present as a speaker in a panel discussion with Theme Optimization of Islamic Cooperation Organization for the Improvement of Economic Diplomacy on Health Sector on Thursday, March 1st, 2018 in Jakarta.
Rahman, became one of the focus sources to discuss the marketing of vaccine products and other Bio Farma products, with focus areas to OIC member countries especially those in Africa and Middle East region.
Other sources include Acep Somantri, as the Head of Foreign Ministry of Foreign Cooperation Bureau, Freddy M. Panggabean, as the Director of Foreign Cooperation of BNP2TKI, Diana E. Soetikno, as the Head of the Bureau of Foreign Cooperation of POM, Ardia Karnugroho, as the Secretary General Association of Indonesian Medical Device Manufacturers and speakers from the Joint Management of Indonesian Pharmaceutical Companies Association.
The event was initiated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Director General for Multilateral Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to Febrian A. Ruddyard, Director General of Multilateral Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in his speech, "this event is very important to seek cooperation opportunities in the health sector among OIC countries in two main things, namely" source of revenue "and" source of capacity building "Indonesia's active role in the Islamic / OIC / Islamic member organizations should be optimally utilized"
M. Rahman Rustan, President Director of Bio Farma, said Bio Farma continues to open new markets in OIC countries, especially in supporting Indonesia as a Center of Excellence (CoE), Government of Indonesia support in marketing diplomacy conducted by Bio Farma open the markets of OIC countries, because G to G will be more calculated "he explained.
At a meeting of OIC Health Ministers in Jeddah, December 2017, Indonesia was decided as Co-Lead Country Coordinator for medicines, vaccines and medical technologies. In addition, the OIC also agreed to Indonesia to host the OIC Center of Excellence on Vaccines and Biotechnology Products. (Even)
