BANDUNG- High intensity of rainfall in most areas in West Java resulted in severe flooding in some areas in West Java, such as in Bandung, Cirebon and Kuningan districts.
Large floods that hit the region in Cirebon on Friday (23/02) due to overflow of the river Cibeureus and Cisanggarung River and damaged dikes at some point so as to soak the settlements, agricultural land and public facilities.
In Cirebon regency, floods hit 9 sub-districts, namely Losari, Waled, Gebang, Ciledug, Articleeman, Pabedilan and Plumbon sub-districts, with water levels of around 100-200 cm and about 20,000 houses flooded.
According to the Head of Information and Public Relations Data Center of National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, the flood caused the railway line located in the area of Operation Area 3 Cirebon totally paralyzed, as a result of the railway line between Ciledug-Ketanggungan Station to Purwokerto and Tanjung -Losari direction Tegal water eroded.
Meanwhile, the floods also hit the area in Kuningan regency, due to rain that flushed since Wednesday (21/02), Margacina village residents Karangkancana District which reached 250 families or 987 souls had to evacuate to relatives and some were evacuated in Kaduagung Village Hall Karangkencana Sub-district
While in Bandung regency, floods again hit 7 districts namely Baleendah, Dayeuhkolot, Bojongsoang, Majalaya, Paseh, Ibun and Solokan Jeruk (Parno)
