BANDUNG- Bank Indonesia West Java Representative Office noted, West Java economic growth in the fourth quarter of 2017 was recorded at 5.32% or an increase compared to the previous quarter.
Head of West Java Provincial Bank Representative, Wiwiek Sisto Widayat said, overall during the year 2017 West Java economic growth of 5.29% which is in the range of BI estimates of 5.1% - 5.5%.
"The growth support from the business side comes from industry and consumer LU LNPRT," said Wiwiek, to www.Jabarprov.go.id.
According to Wiwiek, there are several factors driving growth in the fourth quarter of 2017, among others preparations for the implementation of elections 2018, increased investment of buildings as reflected in the continuous construction of infrastructure projects.
"Increased construction activities, especially in the acceleration of the completion of government infrastructure projects and the increase in household consumers ahead of and at Christmas and Year End holidays to be one of the drivers of economic growth in West Java," he said. (Parno)
