    West Java Economic in Quarter IV 2017 Growing 5.32 Percent

    BANDUNG - West Java economy in 2017 grew 5.29 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Information and Communication Business Field at 11.85 percent. In terms of the highest growth expenditure was achieved by the Export Components of Goods and Services by 11.54 percent.

    Head of Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) Jabar Dody Herlando said the economy of West Java in quarter IV-2017 when compared to quarter IV-2016 (y-on-y) grew by 5.32 percent, up compared to quarter III-2017 which grew by 5, 19 percent.

    From the production side, the highest growth was achieved by the Information and Communication Business Field which grew by 14.88 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth occurred in the LNPRT Consumption Expenditure Component which grew 10.31 percent.

    West Java's economy in quarter IV-2017 contracted by minus 0.81 percent compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q). In terms of production, this is due to seasonal effects on agriculture, forestry and fishery business fields which decreased by 36.40 percent. Meanwhile, from the side of contraction expenditure occurs on the Export Components of Goods and Services of minus 1.20 percent.

    Source of Growth, SOG (y-o-y) from the field of business that gives the biggest contribution is the Industrial Processing Industry Field which is 2.30 percent. In terms of expenditure, the largest positive contribution to growth is the component of Household Consumption Spending (PKRT) of 2.98 percent. jo
