    Modern Agriculture Do Not Destroy the Environment


    BANDUNG REGENCY- Bandung Regent, Dadang M. Naser, supports various efforts and modern ways done by various parties in an effort to improve the agricultural yield of a better society but not damage the surrounding environment.

    "Cropping pattern, farming pattern must be good for better result and growing, but need environment to be well preserved," said Dadang, after the MoU of Agricultural Agribusiness Development Program of Commodity of Red Onion in Mekarmanik Village, Cimenyan Subdistrict, Regency Bandung, Tuesday 30/01).

    According to Dadang, the development of agribusiness in the agricultural sector is one of the onion, is a very strategic sector in order to maintain food security and inflation control.

    "The planting of shallots in a hilly area such as in Cimenyan should be terrace frequently so that it can produce maximum results especially if this area is still good forage," he said.

    Dadang also expect, the need for a common warehouse to store the onion of the farmers so that they do not decay due to being stored in places that are incompatible with the onion temperature.

    "If the onion harvest time is cheap, so it's better to keep some of it and not to rot to be secured in the warehouse so it can be sold when the price is high," he concluded. (Parno)
