BANDUNG-West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan opened the regional meeting of the XII Indonesian Builders Association (Gapensi), West Java, Tuesday (9/2).
On that occasion, Ahmad Heryawan asserted that Gapensi was the saviour of the economy. "Gapensi performs in the infrastructure field and has impact on overall economic growth, then it could be said as the lifesaver of economy," he said.
The governor hoped the construction businessman that numbered around 8,000 in West Java could increase its capacity, especially in the era of Asean Economic Community (MEA).
"Although the 8,000 businessman was mostly in the small business category but if the capacity increased, it be able to compete in the current era of MEA," he said.
This meeting was also attended by the Gapensi Chairman, Iskandar Z. Hartawi and Forkopimda West Java.
