BANDUNG - West Java KPU is committed to holding an inclusive elections in the sense of open access as wide as possible for people with disabilities. However they have the right to be protected.
This was revealed by KPU Commissioner Jabar Nina Yuningsih when delivering remarks at the signing of a memorandum of understanding between West Java KPU with Telkom University in Rectorate Building Telkom University Jl. Terusan Buahbatu Bandung (25/1/2018)
The signing of a memorandum of understanding was signed by Nina Yuningsih representing KPU Jabar and Prof. Ir. Muhammad Ashari, PHD., Representing Telkom University. In addition signed a memorandum of understanding between the Secretary KPU Jabar, Heri Suherman and Jafar Sembiring Telkom Faculty of Business Communication.
According to Nina, it seeks cooperation with various parties to encourage inclusive elections. The cooperation is to assist the KPU to provide the applications needed by persons with disabilities, both visually impaired and deaf. In addition to Telkom University, KPU will establish cooperation with other universities.
"Alhamdulillah, after processing for several months, finally cooperation with Telkom University can be realized," said Nina
Meanwhile, the Rector of Telkom University, Prof. Ir. Muhammad Ashari, PHD., Appreciated the cooperation and welcomed the KPUD step. He said that he would fully support the efforts of KPUD related to this cooperation. It is important that there is no information access gap, of course Telkom University support, hopefully this cooperation produce a really useful product.
