JAKARTA - The Director of Emergency Response of Bancana National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), Junjungan Tambunan said the humanitarian aid provided consists of 12 types such as infant and pregnant women's nutrition, school equipment, emergency lights and family kits.
"The type of aid that is sent is based on a field assessment of refugee needs, aid weighing 10.43 tons will be distributed to the refugees in accordance with the recommendations of local authorities," he said.
According to Junjungan, the local partner organizations and institutions that will distribute the second aid from the Indonesian Government directly to the Rohingnya refugees still living in Bangladesh.
"BNPB leads a humanitarian team transported by Air Force Hercules aircraft and will depart to Bangladeh on Thursday (25/01), which will stay overnight in Banda Aceh," he said.
