BANDUNG-Chairman of Women and Children Empowerment Integrated Service Center (P2TP2A) West Java Province Netty Prasetyani Heryawan asserted that children of ex-Gafatar who had quit from school, can continue to non-formal schools.
It was revealed Netty related to many ex-Gafatar children who are forced to drop out of school as a result of the case.
"If it can not continue in the formal school in their respective regions, they could have joined in the non-formal school for equations in package A, B and C,” she said.
Therefore, Netty hoped the City/District Government origin ex-Gafatar can do coordination related the continuation education of these children.
"After they were quit quarantined, the provincial govt would make such an official report about the data of children who still need to be in school. From that data, I hope the City/District Government can think about the next step to overcome this issue,” Netty said.
