    Citarum Harum Bestari Will Be a Model of River Conservation in Indonesia

    BANDUNG-West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan said the Harum Bestari Citarum program received special attention from the President of Indonesia Joko Widodo. Even if the program succeeds it will be used as a pilot in the effort of river conservation in Indonesia.

    "If the program succeeds it will be used as a pilot for clean river programs in the country," said Ahmad Heryawan told reporters at the Pakuan building on Friday (12/1/2018)

    The governor said the plan to launch the Citarum Harum Bestari program will be set before or after the President's Cup kick through a limited meeting in Bandung.

    "I think all the organizations, entrepreneurs and other community communities are very good yes then the funds are used in the activities of Citarum Bestari Harum is integrated," said Aher.

    He hopes other institutions or foundations also provide assistance to the program with a sufficient budget because the program costs a lot.

    "However the role of this program I must count big because the preservation of this citarum river requires a high enough cost," he concluded. (MAT)
