BANDUNG-West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan with family injected diphtheria vaccine by health officials from West Java Provincial Health Office at Pakuan State Building, Jalan Oto Iskandardinata, Bandung, Saturday (06/01).
In addition to Ahmad Heryawan, another governor's family who received a diphtheria vaccine injection witnessed by Head of Health Office Jabar, Dodo Suhendar, Netty Prasetyani Heryawan who is the wife of Ahmad Heryawan and his youngest son Hadi.
The governor confessed that he was afraid of seeing a syringe when a health worker would inject a diphtheria vaccine to his left arm even though he had to brave and willingly injected the syringe.
"I have never seen, fear of needles, but after that there is no problem, including blood donors are also frequent and no problem," he said.
According to the Governor, the injection of diphtheria vaccine to his body was first done because the vaccine was in 1977 has not existed so for the Jabar people who were born before the year to be injected diphtheria vaccine.
"For me, diphtheria vaccine is very important especially with high mobility who have to visit areas that allegedly contracted diphtheria cases," he said. (Parno)
