BANDUNG - West Java Provincial Government continuously endeavours to seriously accelerate the construction of Bandung Intra Urban Toll Road (BIUTR). Because, BIUTR is expected to be able reducing the traffic congestion in Bandung by 50 percent and transportation efficiency.
"I hope this project goes smoothly,” said the Regional Secretary of West Java, H. Iwa Karniwa at Gedung Sate, Bandung, on Wednesday (3/2).
H. Iwa explained in the BIUTR development acceleration, the Provincial Government will form a small team to do mechanisms and technical things in the field, such as to collect data on the land affected by the BIUTR project.
BIUTR development will use several land belong to government agencies. This development project will pass the lands belong to 14 agencies and ministries. So this BIUTR development was constrained to licenses. The Government of West Java Province assisted by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime has coordinated with 14 agencies and the ministry related.
“Alhamdulilah at the meeting on February 2, 2016, there are nine institutions already approved," he said.
According to H. Iwa, BIUTR can support the function of Cileunyi-Padalarang toll road which has been the mainstay of the movement of people and goods in Bandung Raya. The existence predicted will be able to overcome the bottlenecks in Bandung by 50 percent and transportation efficiency.
"There will be two toll, namely Padalarang Cileunyi that has been existed and Pasteur Cileunyi,” he said.
H. Iwa explained in fiscal year 2016, West Java Provincial Government allocated a budget of Rp 200 billion for land acquisition area of 13 hectares for the construction of BIUTR trace Km 149 in Gedebage to Soekarno Hatta along 1.3 Km.
Overall, this BIUTR project will be built along the roads of 27.3 km with Pasteur-Pasirkaliki-Sukaluyu-Ujungberung-Cibiru-Cileunyi. BIUTR will be divided into multiple alignment, namely the Trace 1 Section 1, covering the access Pasupati road to the Gasibu underpass with a length of 5.5 km, the Trace 1 Section 2, Soekarno Hatta road access to the Gedebage toll road with a length of 4 Km.
Furthermore, the Trace II Section 1, access to the Gasibu underpass to Cicaheum continued to Ujungberung with a length of 8.8 km, the Trace II Section 2, access to Berung Ujung towards on Soekarno Hatta with a length of 2.7 km and the Trace II Section 3, access Ujungberung to Cibiru continued to Cileunyi along the 6.3 Km.
