BANDUNG-The turn of the year is not merely ceremonial like blowing trumpets or lighting up colorful fireworks. The turn of the year is a time marker, where we remember yesterday, reflect, then move forward optimistically.
For Tisna Sanjaya artists the turn of the year is where yesterday - today - tomorrow is very close. It must be interpreted with the full soul.
With painting materials, abundant materials around us, such as soil, water, spices, charcoal dust, rice fields and rivers, organic and other wastes. Tisna wanted to record the change of time on two canvas measuring 3x4 meters. The rumbling of cheers, the deafening sound of trumpets, and the sound of explosive fireworks exploding will be Tisna's musical accompaniment.
For Tisna this 24 hour painting is a visual oration of culture. Whoever is present is seen to participate, co-sprinkle charcoal or spices, mutter together, contemplate together, or just drink coffee, or even selfi.
The action of Tisna Sanjaya artists entitled "Final Sketches and Early Years" will be for 24 hours, from 10:00 to 10:00, from Sunday, 31 December 2017 to Monday, 1 January 2018. The unique action took place on Jl. Sukarno, in addition to Gedung Merdeka Kota Bandung. Jo
