BANDUNG-Provincial Government (Provincial) of West Java will soon realize the Citarum Harum movement. The plan of this movement will begin around the 2nd week or 3rd January 2018. The event will be held in Cisanti and will be attended by President of Indonesia Joko Widodo.
West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan said the preservation of the Citarum River aims to save the future of water and people's lives.
"Alhamdulillah we have found that momentum by building togetherness to realize Citarum Harum so seriously God will be attended by Mr. Jokowi," said Ahmad Heryawan when opening FKPD meeting with Regent / Mayor around the Citarum River Basin at Gedung Sate Bandung on Thursday night (28/12 / 2017)
Kang Aher greeting West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan explained, the activity will be equipped with several booths featuring the diversity of coffee, tea including honey from West Java. In addition to having economic value of trees can be displayed as an alternative tree to replace a seasonal tree.
"There will be several booths featuring some of West Java's superior commodities," Aher said.
He revealed, in preserving the forest community is not prohibited to plant a seasonal tree as long as planted on a flat land or on land that has a maximum slope of about 25-30 degrees. But if the slope is 45 degrees then it is not allowed to be planted seasonally.
"We recommend planting stands like coffee plants that can have economic value," said Aher.
Aher appealed to the community to preserve the forest by not destroying the forest so as not to eliminate the natural beauty of the forest. He cited forests can be used as a place of recreation, planted with mushrooms, coffee and some commodities of conservation value.
"In addition, it can be planted with annual trees on its flat land," Aher said.
The Governor of West Java also asked to eliminate the use of keramba which is still found in three reservoirs such as Saguling, Cirata and Jatiluhur. Normally the maximum number of keramba only 6 thousand units but the fact in the field now there are 72 thousand keramba.
He mentioned some keramba owners have capital up to billions of rupiah and almost certainly the owner of the cage is not a local person.
