BANDUNG- The Regional Grant Agreement (NPHD) for the Provincial Elections (Pilkada) Serentak 2018 in West Java has been signed.
West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan (Aher) signed the manuscript along with West Java Police Chief, Inspector General Pol. Agung Budi Maryoto, Commander of Regional Military Command (Pangdam) III / Siliwangi, Maj. Gen. Doni Monardo, Polda Metro Jaya (represented by the Head of Finance of Polda Metro Jaya), Pangdam V / Jaya (represented by Pasirenprogar 051 / Wijayakarta) at Pakuan Building, Jl. Otto Iskandardinata No. 1, Bandung, Wednesday morning (27/12/2017).
In 2018, West Java Province will organize the election of Governor and Deputy Governor, as well as elections of Regional Head and Deputy Regional Head in 16 districts / cities.
Implementation of the Pilkada stages in a safe, orderly, and smooth manner is absolutely necessary. And to support these safeguards, the West Java Provincial Government has allocated a security budget for local elections intended for security institutions in the region.
This budget is charged to the Regional Budget (APBD) of Fiscal Year 2018, consisting of: West Java Police of Rp 145 Billion more, Polda Metro Jaya Rp 22 Billion more, Kodam III / Siliwangi Rp 26 Billion more, and Kodam V / Jaya for Rp 2.8 Billion more.
"We hope this fund will be liquid soon, therefore, the disbursement budget will be 2018 but the NPHD will be implemented in 2017," said Aher.
"It's out of the ordinary, right if the 2018 grant is the 2018 agreement, take care of it 2018. But for this security, we want secure security, there is no interruption whatsoever in Pilkada because simultaneously in West Java, therefore, we do early on, he explained.
In addition, Aher said the election security program in West Java can be done since January 1, 2018. It is expected to provide the greatest benefit, at the time until after Pilkada election day, so that the whole series of democratic parties can run with a controlled situation .
