    PT KAI Daop 2 Bandung Ready to Secure Christmas and New Year's Transportation


    BANDUNG - PT Kereta Api INdonesia (KAI) Operational Area (Daop) 2 Bandung began to hold Christmas and New Year's Transportation Operations (Nataru) 2017/2018. Operation Nataru was held for 17 days starting on December 22, 2017 until 07 January 2018.

    Thus disclosed Public Relations Manager of PT KAI Daop 2 Bandung, Joni Martinus when found in his office. Joni said that during this Nataru transport period all employees must be on standby and not allowed to take time off.

    "All aspects of the operation of facilities and infrastructure to support the smooth journey of the train is ready. Including 3 additional trains that are operated to serve the community on Christmas and New Year holidays, "said Joni.

    The Additional Train is an Additional Pasundan Train (departs at 06.45), Additional Loans Morning (departs 09.35), and Additional Night Lodaya (departs at 20:20).

    Regarding the level of occupancy of trains (occupancy), Joni revealed that the average for departure from December 22 to early January has reached 100%. "Almost all trains departing Bandung have reached 100%, except for the Additional Loans Karta for departures on 30, 31 December and 1 January 2018, there is still plenty of seating available," explained Joni.

    During the post of Nataru 2017/208 there were 89 external security personnel consisting of 27 TNI personnel, 40 Police personnel, 8 POM personnel, 8 Brimob personnel and 6 K-9 officers (consisting of 2 sniffer dogs).

    "To ensure the safety of passenger train during this Nataru Transportation period, we are working with the Police to alert 2 dog trackers to be placed at Bandung Station and Kiaracondong Station.
