BANDUNG - The Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti) has funded many students who are interested in becoming new entrepreneurs with varying magnitudes ranging from Rp 5 million to Rp 50 million for each student.
Menristekdikti, Mohammad Nasir said, the assistance provided to the students by way of first they create a business plan, how to operate the business to prepare business needs.
"We have a competition between students, they have to make business plan, how to operate business plan, then they prepare business needs, such as investment in tools and working capital, for investment, we give loan in rolling capital," he said.
According to Nasir, Kemenristekdikti also made other efforts to cultivate young entrepreneurs, including Funding to Technology-Based Starter Companies (PPBT).
"This year, PPBT totals 661 companies and next year the target is 800 companies and in 2019 PPBT is targeted to increase to a thousand companies," he hoped.
Nasir added that Kemenristekdikti also allows Universities to open the Study Program (Prodi) contemporary, which can answer the challenges of the times with the hope of becoming young entrepreneurs and able to create new jobs.
