BANDUNG-West Java Governor (Jabar) Ahmad Heryawan said the year 2018 is a political year but also must be a year of economic growth.
He said many regard the political year as a hot year and the emergence of competition, but on the other hand there is also political spending.
"The electoral experience of 2014 is actually an increase in the economy in West Java, so I am sure the political year will also improve the economy," he said at the Annual Meeting of Bank Indonesia (BI) with the theme "Taking Momentum" at Trans Hotel Bandung, Tuesday (12/12).
But the governor asserted, it can happen if the sense of security and conduciveness during the political year well preserved. Because this is a necessary condition if you want the economic pulse continues.
In addition, next year's West Java economic will also increase along with advances in the field of IT industry and investment expenditures especially infrastructure.
"We are sure that economic growth in West Java will remain above the national level this year or next year," he said.
