JAKARTA - Upon opening the commemoration of World Anti-Corruption Day (Hakordia) Year 2017 President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) mentions during 2016 - 2017 data shows the state money saved by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and other law enforcement agencies around Rp . 3.55 trillion of corruption cases. To that end, he stressed the importance of law enforcement.

"I believe Indonesia is one of the most active countries in the enforcement of corruption cases. Since 2004 until now there are 12 governors, 64 regents / mayors who successfully arrested, not to mention the other officials their majority involved bribery case, "said Jokowi before all who attended Hall Birawa Bidakara Hotel, Jakarta, Monday (11/12 / 2017).

The many cases of corruption involving many parties said the President, more serious action, prevention and eradication of corruption is needed. He asked that the existing system should be improved, knowledge, awareness and community participation should be further improved.

"Law enforcement measures against corruption cases are an important step in the prevention and eradication of corruption that can save the state money," he said.

One of the strategies that President Jokowi emphasized was the importance of deregulation. Regulations that protect the public interest such as a double-edged blade potentially become the object of the transaction. All parties are beginning to be centered up to which in the region must prune the name of the regulation that burdens the society and the business world.

"All licensing administration services should be simplified, no more rules or regulations are used as a tool to blackmail, no more jlimet-jlimet (difficulties), complicated and ribet-ribet," he said.

According to him at this speed is needed once because the world changes very quickly. Do not get sluggish and entangled by self-made rules. Transparency, openness, speed and simple and clear rules must be continuously improved. "For that to the head of the region continues to accelerate services in an integrated manner," said Jokowi.

At the end of the speech the President invites all parties to cooperate in combating corruption by improving the system, continuing law enforcement and inviting the community to increase participation. (public relations: rabas / senses-SZ)
