    Offering Urban Applications, 146 Teams Join DiLo Hackhaton Festival


    BANDUNG-A total of 146 teams, many of which feature urban digital solutions, participated in DiLo (Digital Lounge) Hackhaton Festival.

    Managing Director Indigo.id, Ery Punta Hendraswara, said that the event was held in several cities including Banda Aceh, Medan, Tanggerang, Bogor, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Malang, Balikpapan, and Makassar.

    "As our commitment since 2009, our DiLo Hackhaton Festival held in 10 major cities in Indonesia," he told reporters in Bandung, Friday (8/12/2017)

    Ery said, his side is happy with the performance of the event yesterday. Because, most participants came from outside Java Island namely Banda Aceh 26 teams, Makassar 20 teams, and Balikpapan 19 teams, while DiLo on the island of Java each dozens of teams per city.

    "It means that the distribution of interests and abilities from outside Java Island participants previously left behind. This is in line with our mission to support President Jokowi's vision of making Indonesia as the largest digital country in Asia by 2020, "explained Ery

    He explained, it also added happy because the winning application every town is grounded and rooted by targeting urban solutions.

    For example in Banda Aceh. The winners are SmartCan IoT (IoT waste bins), GAAN (boarding pas travel unified financial technology), and Aceh Way (tracking, tagging & info for VOD).

    Then in Balikpapan, the winner is Woles (IoT farm), Hexacrew (smart city dashboard), and Subuhnesia (application for tourism).

    "In Makassar, the winners are Wasdlabs, IoT-based electric scooters, Juku Eja marketplace for building materials, and Pa 'Komar as a farmer with investors," said Ery

    As it is known, DILo is a Digital Inovation Lounge which is Creative Camp which was built to grow healthy ecosystem in the field of digital creative in hopes to grow the seeds of digitalpreneur in Indonesia. Creative Camp was built by MIKTI (Society of Creative Industries of ICT Indonesia) with the support of PT Telkom Indonesia which has now spread across 15 cities in Indonesia.

    The Division of Digital Service and Indigo actively activated DiLo for a long time. Before this Dilo Hackhaton, last August, also held DiLo Festival 2017 themed "Local Digitalpreneur For National Competitiveness".

    At that time, the event was held in nine cities in DiLo Bogor, DiLo Depok, DILo Tangerang, DILo Bekasi, DiLo Medan, DILo Surabaya, DILo Denpasar, DILO Solo, and DILo Yogyakarta.

    There are three forms of DILo Festival 2017: Digital Startup Exhibition, Seminar, and Present Top 5 local competition.
