    After Inauguration, Jokowi Ride Persib Bus Feel Toll Soroja


    BANDUNG REGENCY-The expressway or toll of Soreang - Pasirkoja (Soroja) today officially operates and can be used by the community. The 10.57 Km Toll of Soroja was inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, accompanied by West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan (Aher), SOE Minister Rini Soemarno, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya, PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono and Bandung Regent Dadang Naser at Soreang toll gate , Monday (04/12/2017).

    After inaugurated, President Jokowi and his entourage tried to directly Soroja expressway status in this city toll road using Persib Bus which is accompanied also by some Persib players.

    "Approximately 12 minutes now yes from the previous if the arterial road 1.5 hours. This is a toll that is highly anticipated by people in Bandung Regency and surrounding areas that have been long awaited," said President.

    Jokowi hopes the presence of toll with an investment value of Rp 1.765 Trillion, able to raise the potential in the area of southern Bandung such as tourism, industry and sports.

    "In southern Bandung, there are industrial areas, tourism, government, plantations and sports areas. We hope the mobility of the community will be better, especially tourist places will be more visited and more efficient industrial area means that competitiveness will be better," he hoped.

    Before it was inaugurated, the Soroja toll has been passed through a feasibility test by the Ministries of PUPR, Ministry of Transportation and Korlantas on 16-17 November 2017 which includes functional feasibility test and operational feasibility test.

    PT Citra Marga Lintas Jabar (CMLJ) as the Soroja toll road concession holder started ground breaking since September 2015. In the construction of the Soroja toll is divided into two sections, namely Section I segang interchanges Pasirkoja - Margaasih along 2.75 Km and Section II intersection Margaasih - Katapang along 3.3 km, and Katapang interchanges - Soreang 2.1 Km. Soroja toll has 5 gates in West Margaasih, East Margaasih, West Kutawaringin, East Kutawaringin and Soreang.

    The presence of this toll will cut travel time from Bandung to Bandung regency to be only 10 to 15 minutes. Soroja Toll will also be part of the Bandung Raya transport network connected to the Purbaleunyi Toll through the intersection at kilometer 132.

    Met after attending the inauguration, West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan (Aher) said, the presence of Soroja toll road has become a new vein for Bandung society.

    "Over the years people face tremendous congestion every day, but now the presence of this toll will not exist anymore," Aher said.

    In addition, continued Aher, Soroja toll road facilitate access to the integrated sports area Si Jalak Harupat which currently has an international-standard sports facilities that had also used 19th PON event West Java last year.

    "This will open more opportunities for national and international sport events to be held here," he said.

    Another important meaning, the operation of Soroja toll will increase accessibility to various attractive tourism destinations in the area of south Bandung such as Ciwidey area, Kawah Putih, Rancabali tea plantation and Rancaupas tourism area and in Pangalengan area with its destination of Situ Cileunca. Even can be forwarded to Rancabuaya and South West Java region is very potential.

    "Soroja Toll is really a significant socio-economic impact for the people of Bandung Raya which is the largest concentration of population domination Jabar," said Aher.

    Various challenges are faced in the construction of the Soroja toll road since 2012, but it can not be started until October 2015. The delays in the construction of this toll road according to Aher are due to various factors. Among them land acquisition in some very tough locations, procurement of material constrained location permits, weather factors and other things.

    "Nevertheless the challenge can be overcome thanks to hard work and strong commitment of multi-stakeholders," Aher closed.
