BANDUNG-The Government of West Java Province won the Pandu Negeri Award 2017 as Local Government with excellent performance and governance given by the Indonesian Institute for Public Governance (IIPG). The award of Pandu Negeri 2017 awarded directly by Prof. Dr. H. Boediono, M.Ec as the Steering Assembly and the Minister of Home Affairs to the regional governments receiving the award.
Head of Government Bureau and Cooperation West Java Provice Taufiq Budi Santoso who received the award representing the Governor of West Java at Financial Hall, Financial Club, Graha CIMB Niaga 2nd floor, Jakarta, Friday (10/11/2017), said the award received is the third award that has been achieved in the period 2017 related to the performance of local government administration.
In April 2017, West Java has also been awarded the highest performance achievement from the Minister of Home Affairs for the performance achievement of the implementation of local government in 2016. In May 2017, West Java also won an award in the Inews Maker Award as the province with the best performance.
"The overall award is a form of recognition from the public for the performance of governance in West Java. Therefore, the award of various awards has been given a marker for West Java Provincial Government to continue to improve service performance to the community in achieving better welfare, "he said in Bandung, Tuesday (14/11/17).
Furthermore, he said, the Pandu Negeri Award 2017 granted to coincide with the Heroes Day of November 10th delivered the message of exemplary values, pioneered in regional development through innovations that brought newness, and became a driver in improving the capacity of governance in the region.
The award of Pandu Negeri 2017 is an award ceremony from the Indonesian Institute for Public Governance (IIPG) to the best provincial, regency and city governments and innovative leaders who have made a breakthrough in improving socio-economic growth through governance governance reform.
The award of Pandu Negeri 2017 is awarded after going through a series of selection process with three stages of appraisal, that is financial management aspect; aspects of governance, economic growth, human development; as well as breakthrough and anticorruption aspects. The assessment was conducted by seven members of the Appraisal Committee and five members of the Jury on the Period of local governance throughout Indonesia (34 Provinces, 415 Districts, one District Administration, 93 Cities, and five Municipalities) within 2014 s.d. year 2016.
Of the four categories of awards given, West Java was awarded the category of provincial government with the performance of VERY GOOD Governance together with the Provinces of Bali, Special Region Yogyakarta Province, West Nusa Tenggara, and 10 districts / cities in Indonesia. Sukabumi City is a city in West Java that won the category awards with the performance of good governance.
Pandu Negeri Award 2017 is the first award given by IIPG to Local Government and in the future will become the annual agenda. Through the award of Pandu Negeri is expected to encourage local governments in improving the capacity of governance better.
