BANDUNG- To support the community of sharia banking users, Bukalapak launched a sharia payment method through Mandiri Syariah which was officially launched on November 2, 2017 which can be used both on the desktop and mobile web of Bukalapak.
Founder and CEO of Bukalapak, Achmad Zaky said, Indonesia's potential as the country with the largest Muslim population in the world where the number of customers of Islamic banks per August 2017 reached 25 million customers became one of the reasons for the opening of the program.
"We provide sharia payment method to meet the ease of the users in transacting in Bukalapak," said Achmad, through the release received www.Jabarprov.go.id, Wednesday (08/11).
According to Achmad, this payment method can be used for all transactions such as shopping, OpenReksa, Bukamas, credit purchases, tickets, etc. so that from now on the users can make transfers for payment transactions in Bukalapak through Mandiri Syariah account.
"We understand that the shariah user community has its own needs, especially in banking transactions or the utilization of banking facilities, so that the method of sharia payment is expected to answer those needs," he said.
Meanwhile, Shariah Mandiri Distribution and Services Director Edwin Dwidjajanto said the cooperation with Bukalapak was the first step to enter into an online technology based business.
