    Facing Christmas and New Year, PT KAI Prepares Additional Trains


    BANDUNG - To anticipate the increasing number of passengers in welcoming the Christmas and New Year's (Nataru) transport period 2017/2018, for 17 days starting from December 22, 2017 to January 7, 2018, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operation Area (Daop) 2 Bandung has prepared facilities and infrastructure, especially additional trains.

    Public Relations Manager of PT KAI Daop 2 Bandung, Joni Martinus said, to anticipate the possibility of high public interest to use the train mode during Christmas and New Year holidays, his side has prepared additional trains.

    "There are 3 additional trains that we prepare to serve the railway users during the transportation period Nataru 2017/2018," said Joni, in his office on Tuesday (07/21).

    A number of additional trains that will be prepared in the Christmas and New Year's transport periods, Karta Lodaya Pagi additional route Bandung-Yogyakarta - Solo, with the departure schedule at 09:35 pm and began operated on 30 December 2017 to 1 January 2018,

    KA Lodaya Additional Night with route Bandung - Yogyakarta - Solo, with departure schedule at 20:20 WIB and start operated on December 21 until December 28th.

    Additional Pasundan Train with Kiara Condong route - Surabaya with departure schedule at 06.45 WIB, and commenced on 22 December 2017 until 2 January 2018.

    According to Joni, for KAI Access application users who have downloaded the updated version and purchased KA tickets from this application, starting October 2 online check in facility can be done directly from the application.

    "After checking in through the application, train service users will get an e-boarding pass and the check-in process and download e-boarding pass can be done starting from 2 hours before the scheduled departure time of the train," he said. (Parno)
