BANDUNG-West Java International Airport Project (BIJB), in Majalengka Regency, continues to speed up the process. Pursuing the soft launch target in April 2018, the project worth Rp 2.6 trillion was undertaken late afternoon by the developer.
"We are working 24 hours accelerated for development, because the soft launching we want to be able to carry out next April," said Director of PT BIJB Virda Dimas Ekaputra, in Bandung, Wednesday, November 8, 2017.
Initially the trial operation of the airport which will be held in February shifted until April 2018. This is done so that the entire readiness of the airport can be maximized, especially flight navigation services that will be operated by AirNav Indonesia.
"If the overall readiness can be done around April 1, 2018 later," said Virda.
Virda explains, the progress of the overall airport work that consumes 1,800 hectares of land per Monday 30 October 2017 is quite encouraging, namely 66.5 percent. Airport to be equipped with aerocity area, in the construction work is divided into three packages by three contractors. They work on the land side.
Package one includes infrastructure development undertaken by PT Adhi Karya Tbk with a performance of 97.74 percent. "The scope of this infrastructure work are, roads, drainage, parking landscaping and ramp interchanges," said Virda. This ramp interchanges area has 100 percent processing. The rest of the package work will be completed by the end of November.
Package two includes the construction of passenger terminal building which is done by PT Wijaya Karya (Wika) and PT Pembangunan Perumahan achievement of its work has reached 52.59 percent. "For this reason, the two scopes that developers are developing are interior, main roof, electricity connection and plumbing, roof boarding lounge, bird eye view and ACP com architecture," said Virda.
Installation of the roof with a stretch of 96 meters seamless is said to be Virda, quite challenging considering the shape that resembles peacock feathers. This roof is what will become the icon of international standard airport.
"This work is quite challenging and paced with time, especially the roof is included in our icon," added Virda. For the glass installation terminal already done. As for the package of three include the construction of operational building which is done by PT Waskita Karya is almost perfect with 90.33 percent. PT Waskita is given responsibility to work on airport operational support facilities such as incenerator, meteorology, ground water tank, regional road, sub station and airport fire safety device.
Shifting to the readiness of the runway which will be spread until 3,500 meters by the Ministry of Transport currently progress has reached 90 percent. With the length of the runway confirmed that the presence of BIJB can be accommodated wide-body aircraft such as boeing 747.
For the readiness of other facilities from BIJB where the progress of providers conducted by multi-stakeholders is not less exciting. "Other facilities from BMKG has reached 99 percent, water splicing has reached 95 percent and the electricity connection reaches 96 percent," said Virda.
